The mission of European Research Council (ERC) is to encourage the highest quality research in Europe through competitive funding and to support investigator-initiated frontier research across all fields of research, on the basis of scientific excellence.

The International Union for Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB) is a member of the ICSU (International Council for Science) family. Affiliated to it are the national adhering bodies of 50 countries. Its function is to support research and teaching in biophysics.

The EGSF (Euroglycosciences Forum) aims to promote the glycosciences within the wider scientific community.  The Forum takes a very interdisciplinary approach linking many different subjects in which glycosylation is relevant: from computational, analytical and chemical sciences to aspects of biology, ecology, energy and medicine.
